UBC Apple Festival - 2010

The UBC Botanical Garden Apple Festival was held October 16-17 under sunny skies in Vancouver with record attendance.  The Pacific Agri-Food Research Centre (PARC) Summerland Sensory Program partnered with PICO to conduct consumer research on the degree of liking of the taste and appearance of three apple cultivars.  A selection from the PARC breeding program (SPA493) as well as two commercially available cultivars Ambrosia™ and Honeycrisp™ were evaluated by approximately 1,500 consumers in a blind/coded trial.
